rehearsals

So my rez is putting on this musical production called "The Wiz," its a spin off the original "The Wizard of Oz." (Apparently the Wiz was the first broadway production that had a 100% African American cast) It's not a fancy full-on-technical-fancy show but it's ok and the chorus and the singers are awesome! Anyways, i just got back from the rehearsal ... no I don't play a role in the actual play. I'm part of the orchestra ... playing alto sax and trombone (so hard switching back and forth).

This weekend was hectic and tiring. We've been rehearsing all day today and yesterday. On Saturday (yesterday), we started at 9:30am-11:30am and then again at 1:00pm to 8:00pm the same day. Then today starting at 10:00am to 3:45pm and then dress rehearsal from 6:30pm to 10:30pm! I'm soooo exhausted. I haven't been able to do any school work because after rehearsals I just want to go to bed and i can't even think of anything else ... I guess it's a good distraction from life's troubles. I just got back and I know I need to do some work but my mouth is tired and especially my lips from playing for like 14+ hours this weekend. And we have our final dress rehearsal tomorrow night ... last one before our performance on thurday, friday and saturday. I'm exhausted.

And now back with dealing with life ... sigh.
